1 The appellant, Donald Bowers, was tried for the crime of Murder in the First Degree, in violation of Laws 1976, ch. 1, § 1 [1-1], now 21 O.S. 1981 § 701.7 [21-701.7], in Cleveland County District Court Case No. CRF-78-734. The jury found the appellant guilty of Manslaughter in the First Degree and set punishment at fifty (50) years imprisonment. The trial court sentenced the appellant in accordance with the jurys verdict.
