In some cases Perls is even disavowed - at least the way he DID Gestalt Therapy. Theory is much more elaborate and the literature now voluminous. Nevertheless, the early documents are read by all students and the foundational work, Gestalt Therapy by Frederick Perls, Paul Goodman, and Ralph Hefferline, is still gone over word for word. I don't recommend it.
